Definition: Aggregate is a collection of items that are gathered together to form a total quantity.

The fleeting moments of knowledge in which we discover our existence are facts that can be committed to memory. We can enlarge this aggregate memory and refashion it as we go through a lifetime. By saving these memories on paper and reconstructing the images of our lives. We see the art of our lives unfolding before us.

Face the brilliance of your most wonderful creations and dwell on your dreams.
I believe in teaching, the sharing of ideas and playfulness of creating.

Gratitude with Artistcellar Stencils

Hello Creatives.....
I have gratitude to be where I am today and being able to create on a daily basis. As well be able to share information so that others might be inspired to create. This is important to me as there was a time, for many reasons that I was not able to play and create. This is an amazing place to be in.
I have a card tutorial for you as it is close to Thanksgiving here in the United States.
Here is what you will need:
  • Artistcellar Stencils Constellation and Gratitude
  • Silks Acrylic Paint
  • Gelli Plate
  • Brayer
  • White and Black Paper
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Ephemera Paper (I used a page out of a dictionary)
  • Pitt Pens
  • Distress Ink Pad Walnut
  • Distress Blending Tool
  • Glitter Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Twine
  • Button

Step 1: Add Silks to the Gelli Plate.

Step 2: Brayer the colors to create a smooth surface. I try not to blend the paint too much.
Place the stencil on top of the acrylic paint. Then place the paper on top of the stencil.

Then place the paper on top of the stencil brayer the paper into the paint. Dry with heat tool or let dry.

Step 3: Add Distress Ink with Distress tool to the edges of the paper.

Step 4: Place the Gratitude Stencil to the left side of page and trace with Pitt pens.

Step 5: Cutting Feathers..... I love this part. Draw some 3 feather shapes onto the Ephemera paper of your choice. Cut out with the scissors and fold down center. Now cut the fringe along the side. Add glitter to surface then draw veins down the side.

Step 6: Tie the twine into the button and make a bow out of the ribbon. Stage the feathers to the left of Gratitude.

Hot glue the feathers, ribbon and bow. Cut black card stock into card blank. I add a lighter color card stock as an insert to the inside of the card to write on.

Step 7: Glue the gratitude top to the card base.

Thank you for joining us for some creative fun. Wishing you all a great Holiday in the United States.

Crochet Weekend Project Neck Warmer

Hello Crafties....

Hope you are having a good start to your weekend. I wanted to share a weekend project that I made last weekend and have been wearing it all week. A crochet neck warmer made with Patrons Yarn and I love it. You can find the link for the yarn below, I used Creek color you will need two skeins of yarn.

I used a stitch from  Simple Crochet book and created my own neck warmer pattern. A friend made the hook that I use all the time. Yet- I have listed Stitch Diva site where you can get large hooks and needles that are wonderful quality. Stitch Diva is a great resource in patterns, yarn and tutorials for both crochet and knit.

Here is what I did:
Chained 50 as my base chain, (Single crochet 1, chain one) until the end. Repeat until the rectangle is about 12". Stitch the sides together.

Murmuration Of Starlings and Artistcellar Stencils

Hello Creatives....

I have an unusual post for your mid week muse.
Murmuration of Starlings is a most amazing occurrence. If you have seen one of these displays first hand you know what I am speaking of. If you have not seen one please visit this link to see an amazing video of a Starling Murmuration. You will find the video about half way down the page. This journal page speaks to my current physical and mental space as of late. Enjoy-!
Definition of  Murmuration of Starlings is as follows.
"A murmuration, or flock of starlings, here includes thousands of these tiny birds collectively flying and swirling about. The mesmerizing act is typically seen at the beginning of winter, right before dusk, as the birds look for a place to roost for the night.", Huffington Post.
“Numbers build up slowly near the roost over the afternoon as small groups of birds return from foraging in the area,” explains Paul Stancliffe of the British Trust for Ornithology. “By late afternoon there is a huge swirling cloud. It’s all about safety in numbers – none wants to be on the outside, none wants to be first to land.”, Huffington Post.
